I am quite an amateur or n00b with photography.
I would like to improve my skills and accordingly I bought a new camera.
The last one was an ass and it wouldn't let me download the photos unless I used its program(kodak easyshare), well that program crashed my laptop plus its soo slow to open and the editing on it sucks. I am not a fan of kodak, I gave it try since kodaks been in the business for a while and knows what its doing. That's true, it knows how to crash your laptop and it knows how to steal your money for being a n00b and buying it because the price looked good.
I now have a cannon powershot...I don't remember the model but its better quality that my last camera.

I need help with finding a good photo editing program that wont cost me an arm and a leg to buy. Once I get that I need advice on wedding pictures and the type of style that would look great with editing. I am thinking a romantic vintage style similar to :devlove4artfun: I love her work because its very pulled together.
I need help with some simple steps to make it look similar to her style. I do NOT want to use her style because that's her own style plus its hard to mimic styles.
I like vivid colors and with wedding pictures that may be hard to do.

My sister is getting married again and I volunteered to be the photographer or at least help out taking photos and she really enjoys my work. Well she might just be being nice about my work.

I would be so grateful for any advice small or large.
